What is an Anthology Book?
In book publishing, an anthology is a collection of literary works chosen by the compiler; it may be a collection of plays, poems, short stories, songs or excerpts by different authors. In genre fiction, the term "anthology" typically categorizes collections of shorter works, such as short stories and short novels, by different authors, each featuring unrelated casts of characters and settings, and usually collected into a single volume for publication. Alternatively, it can also be a collection of selected writings (short stories, poems etc.) by one author
Who is Compiler?
Compiler is a person who collects different authors and their write-ups at one place and prepare a manuscript of it and submits to publisher. Compiler gets the royalty amount (Profit Share) of each book sold in the market.
Compiler also gets a free copy of the book and a compilation certificate.
If Compiler complete the compilation task in given time limit then he/she also gets a compilation reward.
Procedure for Anthology Compilation?
1. You’ll be given a compiling package of your choice & will be asked to select the entry fee of the anthology you’re going to compile.
(Entry fee is for writers, not for you.
Slots is the number of writers you need to gather)
2. After the selection of the anthology compilation package, you’ll have to gather estimated no. of writers that have been assigned to your package in given time.
3. You will need to ask them to submit their write-ups in the form which we’ll provide and collect payments (payment link and form will be provided by us)
4. After gathering the no. of writers required, you need to just copy paste their work from form into word document in order to make a manuscript. (Other variations will be explained at the time of preparation of manuscript).And you’re done!
5. You can choose a package according to your interest. Also, since you’re the compiler so it’s your book and will have your name on it. Hence, you’re free to choose the genre, theme and title of your book too! You can also include your write-ups if you want to. It’s up to you.
